Biennial Meeting

Welcome from the President & Program Chair

We are thrilled to invite you to the upcoming 2024 ACL Study Group meeting in Niseko, Japan, which will be held at the Hilton Niseko Village Hotel on Hokkaido Island. The Biennial Meeting will take place January 28th through February 1st, 2024. There will also be an optional pre-meeting excursion held January 26th to 28th at the Windsor Hotel TOYA Resort & Spa – a wonderful mountain and lake venue.

Per usual, we look forward to stimulating talks and thought-provoking discussion during the morning and afternoon sessions. Midday will provide an opportunity to enjoy the amazing surroundings and culture. Japan’s #1 ski resort is nearby and internationally renowned for its fresh powder snow, making it a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders. Cross-country skiing trails also abound, and for those looking to relax, a visit to the Japanese hot springs and spa is a wonderful experience.

As many of you recall, the ACL Study Group was first organized in 1988 by a small group of orthopedic surgeons with a common interest. The first meeting was held at West Point, U.S.A. The meeting has evolved exponentially under the leadership of Drs. John Bergfeld and Christopher Kaeding. We all enjoy the collegiality and camaraderie that this large international group affords every two years, defined by informal and spirited debate and open exchange of ideas.

The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted our typical biennial rhythm. However, after the 2024 meeting, we will resume our biennial schedule. We are proud to say that the ACL Study Group is the premier international ACL meeting, providing a unique opportunity to share, discuss and learn the latest advancements in research, surgery, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Thank you all for making this exchange of scientific information and debate possible.

We look forward to seeing you in Niseko, Japan!

Sincerely,

President 2023-2024
