Summary

A career spent working with all interested parties to prevent and establish normal knee function and active lifestyle is presented through actual case reports and literature.

Abstract

From observing US Olympic basketball athletes have a disproportionate ACL tear right in females in 1986 throughout a career of 40 years, little progress has been made in prevention of recurrent injury or development of post, traumatic osteoarthritis. The lessons learned through research in these areas and treatment of patients with ACL tears will be shared. Planting ideas going forward to collaborate for future studies should occur in the ACL Study Group.
