Dr. Jason Koh is an internationally known orthopedic surgeon with significant clinical, research, administrative and entrepreneurial experience. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard, he received his MD from Johns Hopkins, followed by internship at the Massachusetts General Hospital, residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery, and fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He received his MBA from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management, with additional coursework at Harvard Business School. As the Mark R. Neaman Family Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery, he leads the Orthopaedic & Spine Institute, the orthopaedic specialty hospital at Endeavor Health (formerly NorthShore University HealthSystem), and is a Clinical Professor at the University of Chicago. As chair of the largest department in the Chicago area, he has led the use of data analytics to achieve nationally recognized quality while reducing cost and significantly increasing surgical volume. He established multidisciplinary programs in arthritis, sports medicine, and spine care. He has published >100 papers, chapters, and books and his research has been recognized with the Neer and O’Connor awards. Dr. Koh has been a team physician for the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Fire Soccer, and the Joffrey Ballet. He has held leadership and board positions with multiple professional and nonprofit organizations, and serves as an advisor to several companies.
