Professor & Chairman of Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He was selected for the Patellofemoral travelling fellowship of ISAKOS (the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthpaedic Sports Medicine) in 2007, as well as the traveling fellowship of APOSSM (Asia-pacific Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine)-ESSKA in 2010. Since 2000, he has been a member of ISAKOS Board of Director (2013-), and member of strategic committee (2015-). He is the education committee member of APKASS (Asia-Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society) (2014-). He has been appointed Chief editor of APSMART, an associate editor of KSSTA. He has been team doctor for Vissel Kobe (Japanese division 1 soccer league), Orix Buffaloes (Japanese division 1 baseball league), and Kobe Kobelco Steelers (Japanese division 1 rugby league).
