Clinique Universiatire du Sport Toulouse FRANCE I am Professor Cavaignac, an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee surgery. I practice at the Toulouse University Hospital in the Clinique Universitaire du Sport, located in the Pierre Paul Riquet Hospital. In addition to teaching at the Faculty of Medicine (professor since 2020), I participate in courses for professional societies such as SFA, ESSKA, ISAKOS, and SOFCOT. My clinical practice, with over 1,000 surgeries per year, focuses exclusively on knee surgery. A significant portion of these surgeries involves sports traumatology, particularly anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, with more than 500 ACL reconstructions per year. My research activities are also centered on the knee. I have contributed to over 200 publications in international journals. I am developing a tailored approach to offer personalized surgery to patients. In degenerative cases, the goal is to better analyze anatomical variability in order to propose prostheses adapted to each patient's anatomy. In sports traumatology, the aim is to improve the identification of all lesions to offer appropriate treatment. Since May 2022, I have been the Treasurer of ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy). I am also developing an innovative educational approach with a new type of course: https://www.practicalcourseorthopedics.com. https://www.professeur-cavaignac.com
