Institute for movement and locomotion Marseille, BOUCHES DU RHONE FRANCE Dr. Matthieu Ollivier was born in March 1984, he did his orthopedic training in both Aix Marseille University and Versailles Hospital (Dr. Philippe Beaufils). Dr. Ollivier graduated with his MD and Ph.D. (biomechanics) at Aix-Marseille University then did a post-graduate fellowship in Rochester’s Mayo Clinic. Dr. Ollivier is actually Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Institute of Movement and locomotion (Chairman: Pr Jean-Noel Argenson) in Aix-Marseille university hospital, Marseille, France. His clinical practice is dedicated to knee-related procedures, with a special focus on sports (Cartilage, meniscus, ligaments) injuries and osteotomies. He is engaged in an academic field at Aix-Marseille University; teaching medical students, interns, orthopedic residents, and fellows. He is 2015 AAHKS’s John-Insall award recipient and 2019 ESSKA-AOSSM’s traveling Fellow. Dr Ollivier is a reviewer of AJSM, BJJ and OTSR. He is involved in KSSTA Editorial Board. He’s been published more than 200 peer-reviewed papers with a special focus on Basics sciences, sport’s medicine, and knee procedures. He has presented at over 100 meetings across the world, giving lectures on sports medicine and knee surgery-related topics. Dr. Ollivier is a senior member of SOFCOT (French society of Orthopedic Surgeon), SFA (French Society of Arthroscopy), ESSKA Magellan Society. He is a board member of ESSKA: U45, Osteotomy and 2024-Congress Scientific Committees.
