Durham, NC UNITED STATES rian Pietrosimone is a Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Exercise and Sport Science at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He directs the MOTION Science Institute at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is also founding Co-Director of the UNC Sports Medicine Institute which is a unique clinical and research collaboration between UNC Orthopedics, Exercise and Sport Science and UNC Health. His research focuses on biomechanical factors driving knee osteoarthritis development and progression following knee injury. Dr. Pietrosimone has published over 240 peer-reviewed papers with funding from NIH, NSF, DOD, and multiple other foundations.
