I'm an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialized in knee sports surgery. I work in a hospital that collaborates with the Dutch Olympic Committee and treat athletes with complex knee pathology of all levels, including Olympic athletes, which I enjoy very much as a former high Ievel athlete myself. I was a 2021 ISAKOS global traveling fellow. I am currently working on my PhD on influence of concomitant pathology to ACL injury that I will finish in 2026. I'm involved in several (inter)national research collaborations and in the editorial board of Arthroscopy Journal. With a colleague I developed the Knee Arthroscopy Belt, to improve ergonomics during knee arthroscopic surgery. I'm enthousiastic and motivated to join the ACL study group.
