Dr. Amit Meena is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in knee surgery, currently working as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at KNEECARES – The Superspeciality Knee Clinic, Jaipur, India. His clinical expertise focuses on joint replacement surgery and complex knee ligament reconstruction.
He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Central Institute of Orthopaedics, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, one of India’s largest and most prestigious orthopaedic centers. Dr. Amit pursued advanced subspecialty training at the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, Bologna, Italy, under the mentorship of Prof. Stefano Zaffagnini, with a focus on knee surgery, knee arthroplasty, and complex ligament injuries. He further refined his skills at Gelenkpunkt – Sports and Joint Surgery, a FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Innsbruck, Austria, working with Prof. Christian Fink and Dr. Christian Hoser. His international training continued in North America at Western University, Ontario, Canada, where he worked with Dr. Alan Getgood, gaining extensive experience in managing complex knee disorders.
A prolific researcher, Dr. Meena has published over 85 scientific articles in leading orthopaedic journals and textbooks. He serves as a manuscript reviewer for JBJS, AJSM, CORR, Arthroscopy, KSSTA, JEO, OJSM, and JISAKOS. In recognition of his academic contributions, he was awarded Best Reviewer of the Year (JEO) and was a finalist for the John J. Joyce and Paolo Aglietti Awards at the ISAKOS Congress 2023 (Boston, USA).
Dr. Meena is a sought-after speaker at prestigious international conferences, delivering invited lectures on advanced knee surgery. He was selected as an ISAKOS Global Traveling Fellow (2023–2025) and represented the Asia-Pacific region in 2025. He is an active member of leading international orthopaedic societies, including ISAKOS, ESSKA, APKASS, and the Magellan Society.
