Dr. Andre Giardino Moreira da Silva is an Attending Knee Surgeon at the Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology, University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil, where he combines clinical practice, research, and education. He graduated from the University of São Paulo, where he also completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency and Knee Surgery fellowship. He is currently pursuing a PhD focused on new graft options for ACL reconstruction, supported by an ISAKOS Research Grant. He performs around 150 anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions annually and is actively involved in several research projects on ACL injury and reconstruction, which constitute the main focus of his scientific activity. Dr. Giardino is an active member of the Brazilian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SBOT), the Brazilian Society of Knee Surgery (SBCJ), the Brazilian Society of Sports Trauma (SBRATE), the Latin American Society of Arthroscopy, Knee and Sports Medicine (SLARD), and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS). He regularly participates in national and international scientific meetings and is committed to advancing education and research in sports medicine and knee surgery.
