Lyon Ortho Clinic Lyon, Rhone FRANCE Doctor Guillaume Demey finished his residency in orthopaedic surgery focusing on the knee at the Medical University of Lyon, France. In 2008, he completed a six-month fellowship at the Sydney Orthopaedics Research Institute/Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia as a research fellow under Drs. David Parker and Myles Coolican by whom he was taught the different aspects of Knee Arthroplasty and ACL reconstruction. He then went on to become an Assistant Professor at the Albert Trillat Center in Lyon, France under Prof. Philippe Neyret. In 2012 Dr. Demey started in private practice at Lyon Ortho Clinic Center with partner David Dejour. His clinical focus is knee surgery doing 250 meniscus lesions and 250 ACL reconstructions each year. He also performs over 150 knee arthroplasties and 30 osteotomies each year. He is very interested in patellofemoral disorders, his research focusing on episodic patellar dislocation, trochlear dysplasia and patellofemoral osteoarthritis. He is currently the secretary of the ESSKA EKA section, the Treasurer of the French Society of Hip and Knee, and the past president of the Lyon School of Knee Surgery
